There's gonna be a Heartache Tonight
The show at Ace of Clubs went off without a hitch, thanks to our friends and allies who came to support the band. It was Darren's first gig and sounded just great; I got a live recording from our sound job, who was the biggest fucking dickhead I have encountered in years, but managed to get a decent recording anyhow. Roko Djokovic filled in on guitar and gave a great rendition of "Fernando and Louise".
The next few weeks are all about networking and hopefully wrapping up the guitar and bass on Music For Young Adults. We're playing Kenny's Castaways on August 17th, which ought to be another great show; we'll be bringing back some of the older tunes for that, including "On and On"!
The band is most likely going to be joined by Sanford Livingston on laptop and bass, too, which is just fantastic news. I'm prepping the sessions for him to download tonight.
Meanwhile, The Earth From Space is getting the gears moving slowly for a greatly expanded "Peter And The Wolf". If only I could get my ProTools rig working here at the office. Sigh. Well, life can't be perfect.
Keep on starshippin', troopers...
